Tomasz Woźniak , Trumpet, Born in 22.02.1979 r. in Rzeszów.

Tomasz Woźniak attended the State Secondary School of Music in Rzeszów before graduating from the Fryderyk Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw.  In the years 2004–2005, on receiving a grant from the Ministry of Culture, he honed his skills on a postgraduate course led by Guy Touvron at the Conservatoire Supérieur de Paris. He has taken an active part in masterclass courses led by André Henry, Sergey Nakariakov, Gabrielle Cassone, Reinhold Friedrich, Fred Mills and Andrea Giuffredi, among others. He has won numerous prizes: first place in the youth category, the Grand Prix and Apollo’s Chariot awarded by the Ministry of Culture and the Arts in the All-Poland Trumpet Festival in Kalisz in 1996, third place in the open category at the same festival in 2002, First Prize in the Yamaha Competition for Brass Instruments in Poznań (2003), Second Prize, with a wind quartet, in the All-Poland Competition for Chamber Ensembles in Warsaw (2003) and the Chamber Music Prize in the Seventh International Ruhr Classic Festival in Marl, Germany (2004). In 2003 and 2006, he was a semi-finalist in the Maurice André International Trumpet Competition in Paris.

He performs in concert as a soloist and chamber musician, in repertoire ranging from the Baroque to contemporary music (including first performances of works by Paweł Buczyński, Marcin Błażewicz, Marian Borkowski, Aldona Nawrocka and others). He also participates in interactive music. As a soloist, he has performed with the Kiev, Rzeszów and Holy Cross philharmonic orchestras and the orchestra of Warsaw Music Academy, among others. He has taken part in such festivals as the Warsaw Autumn, the Contemporary Music Laboratory, the Ars Musica International Festival  of Organ and Chamber Music in Iwonicz, the Prague Music Spring, the Warsaw Music Encounters, the Artelier Festival  in Szczecin, the Orbit Jazz cycle of ‘Concerts beneath the Stars’ at the Warsaw Planetarium and also abroad: in Germany, Italy and France.

He has worked with the Warsaw Philharmonic, the Teatr Wielki – Polish National Opera in Warsaw, Sinfonia Varsovia and the Jeunesses Musicales de France orchestra of the Paris Conservatoire, among others. From 2005 to 2007, he was first trumpet of the Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic in Białystok, and he currently works with the Polish Radio Orchestra in Warsaw
